About The Sport
Discover Water Polo
Water polo is one of the world's most exciting and dynamic team sports, combining swimming, ball skills, tactical decision-making, and teamwork.
Played in a fast-paced aquatic environment, the game challenges athletes both physically and mentally, while fostering lifelong friendships and a strong sense of community.
Whether you're looking to play socially, compete at the highest level, or simply try something new, water polo offers opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.

What is Water Polo?
Water polo is played between two teams of seven players, including one goalkeeper.
The objective is simple: score more goals than the opposition before the final whistle.
Players must swim continuously while passing, shooting, defending, and working together to outsmart their opponents. Unlike many sports, players are not permitted to touch the bottom of the pool, making endurance, strength, and skill essential components of the game.
A standard match consists of four quarters, with teams using a combination of strategy, speed, and teamwork to create scoring opportunities and defend their goal.
