Water Polo Victoria State Squads - 2026

Water Polo Victoria is pleased to announce our State Squads for 2026!

We have been incredibly encouraged by the number of passionate and talented athletes across all age groups and are proud of everyone who participated in the trials over the past two weeks.

Over the first couple weeks of May, our coaches and selectors across the 13&U, 15&U and 17&U age groups have carefully worked through the selection process, and we are pleased to now share the athletes selected in the squads below.

It is fantastic to see such strong representation from clubs across Victoria, including DVE, Essendon, NYP, Melbourne Collegians, Footscray, Ballarat, Geelong, Richmond and Northcote, along with many athletes from the Ovens & Murray region.

At Water Polo Victoria, we remain committed to supporting the development of all athletes across the state. For those who were not selected this year, we know this can be disappointing, however individual feedback has been provided and we encourage athletes to continue developing their skills through their clubs and additional opportunities such as the WPV Academy.

Congratulations to all athletes selected, and thank you to everyone who took part in the trial process.

13&U

The athletes in the 13&U squads listed below have been selected to represent Victoria at the Development Carnival in Hobart (July 9 - 12). The squads will train weekly to prepare for this tournament and will be finalising travel arrangements over the coming weeks!

15&U

All athletes in the 15&U age group will take part in the East Coast Challenge (hosted by WPV) from July 3 - 5, with a selection of the final team travelling for the NSC's to be announced in late July. The entire squad will train together all the way through to the National State Championships (29th September - 3rd October).

17&U

The athletes in the 17&U age group will train together all the way through to the National State Championships (29th September - 3rd October). Selection of the team going to NSC's will be announced in late July.
