WPV Administration Officer
Exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Administration Officer (18-22hrs per week)
Water Polo Victoria (WPV) is the state governing body for Water Polo in Victoria. WPV is responsible for the development and education of water polo players, officials, coaches and volunteers throughout Victoria and the conduct of competitions and championships for all levels of participation, interdependently with its members and other stakeholders.
Water Polo in Victoria has vibrant and growing junior, senior and social competitions, with a number of athletes excelling nationally and internationally.

About the role
The WPV Administration Officer is a key role in fulfilling the daily operational needs of the organisation, as well as driving a number of our key programs in line with our Strategic Plan.
Reporting to the WPV CEO, tasks will include:

Support the development and delivery of WPV social programming, including Social Sundays, WPV Social Competition and other 10x Initiatives.

Event and competition administrative support, including data entry and other requirements of the WPV Competitions Manager.

Assist in coordinating WPV Academy & State Programs (pool bookings, athlete/parent communication etc.)

General Administrative activities to ensure day to day operational needs of WPV are met (member support, club enquiries, general assistance of other WPV Staff etc.)

Manage and update content on WPV website and social media channels.
About you
To be considered for this opportunity, you will have the following qualifications, skills, attributes and experiences:

Australian working rights

Strong attention to detail, time management and organisation skills.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to connect with key stakeholders both internal and external.

Valid Working with Children’s Check

Program development and delivery experience highly regarded.

Experience within Sports Administration will be highly regarded.

Position Details
We are looking for someone able to commit to 18-22hrs per week. The proposed dates for this role are from 20 January 2025 ending 30 of April 2025.
Water Polo Victoria’s office is situated at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. While some flexibility is available, the successful candidate will be required to spend at least 50% of their time on site.
The role will require some working outside of normal hours (9.00am – 5.00pm) from time to time.
Casual rate $30 p/h for the successful candidate + super.
