What a great day for water polo at Brighton Baths!

The Brighton Baths Water Polo Event, held on February 28th, brought together athletes, families, and supporters for a brilliant day of competition and community by the bay. With eleven teams participating and over 150 players, coaches, and spectators in attendance, the event created a lively and energetic atmosphere throughout the day.

Teams competed in great spirit, showcasing strong teamwork, determination, and skill in the iconic open-water setting of the Brighton Baths. The day provided a wonderful opportunity for players to challenge themselves, connect with other athletes, and enjoy the unique experience of playing water polo in the bay.

We had a great representation of teams from varying clubs in our inaugural Brighton Baths tournament, including La Trobe, Melbourne Collegians, Monash Uni, Ajax, Richmond, NYP, Melbourne Uni and eventual winners DVE Aquatic.

From the moment the DVE boys heard about the tournament, we were eager to take part, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The boys had an incredible time, enjoying an experience like no other. It was fantastic for team building and we are already talking about coming back to defend our title in 2027. - DVE Aquatic

What a sensational event to see reborn at The Baths this year! The energy, passion, and competitive spirit of the athletes was felt by all. From the professionalism of the referees to the constant encouragement echoing across the water, the WPV teams delivered an incredible display of skill, stamina, and athleticism. We’re proud to have hosted such a riveting event and can’t wait to see it return to The Baths — bigger and better! - Bianca, Brighton Baths Health Club Manager

We look forward to seeing even more teams and participants at future events.

It is exciting to get our great sport of Water Polo out of the leisure facilities and into the bay. Playing here at Brighton Baths has been an amazing experience, and we look forward to expanding our salt series in the future - Regan Longfield, WPV CEO

Congratulations to all teams and a special shout out to winners DVE, runners up Melbourne Collegians and third placed NYP Dragons!

Wow!! What a collection you have. It's surely recommendable. You also may know about the airports and airlines that use advanced procedures such as de-icing. However, while planes can fly in snowy weather, delays or cancellations may still occur due to poor visibility, where special fluids are applied to remove ice and snow from the aircraft before takeoff. Pilots are also highly trained to operate in winter conditions, and planes are built with systems that prevent ice buildup on critical components like wings and engines.
