High Performance Manager Appointed
Water Polo Victoria would like to announce the appointment of Greig Richardson to the role of High Performance Manager.
The focus of the role is to lead Water Polo Victoria High Performance Programs (Academy and State) with a renewed focus on individual athlete development, aiding with selection within programs and to develop training programs for coaches to implement.
Greig's role will include targeting up and coming coaches and engaging them in our programs. He will also lead the organisation in coaching education across the community.
The role has been designed to deliver a structured program with consistent outcomes, mentor coaches and provide support at training when those appointed coaches wish to have assistance.
"The appointment of Greig in the High Performance Manager role enables the organisation to have a more structured approach to our athlete/coach development," said Water Polo Victoria CEO Simon Devine.
"Greig's focus is to work with coaches of each team/academy and help develop their skills, whilst providing a base line for all our athletes. We want the academy to become a program where athletes finish at the end of term and have improved some if not all aspects of their Water Polo."
Greig will commence the role on Monday 13th February.
