National 13 and Under Development Series EOI
Water Polo Victoria is taking expressions of interest for athletes and coaches who are interested in attending the National 13 and Under Development Series which again will be held in Tasmania (July 4-7).
Last year we had 4 teams compete across the weekend and we hope to do the same again in 2024.
This program will be a State delivered program however as it is a development series the selection criteria will not be solely based on skills and ability. We will reward the athletes who attend training, listen to feedback and generally are good ambassadors for the sport of Water Polo in and out of the pool.
Training was once a week (usually on Saturday) and athletes were encouraged to attend the Development Program mid-week to improve their skills.
At this point in time we are taking expressions of interest to decide what the program looks like and how many teams we will send to this years series.
Athletes born 2011 and 2012 are eligible to play in this tournament, any athletes born 2013 will be permitted to train and "may" be eligible to attend the tournament depending on numbers and if exemption is granted by WPA.
More information will be sent out at a later time confirming training dates/costs etc once we finalise the EOI's.
