Programs & Competitions Update

WPVic has been working with pool operators to explore possible booking options in light of the revised COVID restrictions announcement yesterday by the Victorian State Government.

While it is good news that training and competitions for Community Sport can recommence the density quotient imposed on venues, particularly for metropolitan areas and indoors facilities, presents significant challenges. We are currently seeking clarification from the Government relating to several of the restrictions.

At this stage, current planning indicates that restart of activities will be possible by the following dates. Further updates will be communicated when pool bookings are able to be confirmed.

1. Academy - started back this week with limited pool space.

2. State Team Program (STP21) - selection trials at end of school holidays (further details to be provided to registered participants).

3. Winter Competition - all grades to start back after the scheduled school holiday break.

WPVic will also endeavor to provide opportunities for club training sessions dependent upon pool space becoming available.

A full list of current restrictions can be found in the attached Table of Restrictions and Government Announcement. Note that the highlighted text in the Table of Restrictions indicates recent changes.
