U19s NSC Day 3
The third day of the u19s National Championships saw mixed results for the two teams.
The Mens team kicked off the day in Perth with a game against New Zealand. NZ kicked out to an early advantage with a 5 goal lead at half time with the Vic team playing a brilliant defensive 3rd quarter and taking the lead early in the fourth. Unfortunately they were unable to maintain the lead as NZ ran out winners 18 - 14
Victoria play WA on Monday in a must win match to make finals.
The Womens team played QLD Gold and started the game well jumping out to an early lead of 3 goals at half time. They continued to maintain the pressure for the remainder of the game running out victors 15 - 5. Whilst it was a good attacking display for the women their defensive effort is what stood out keeping QLD scorless during the 2nd and 4th quarters.
The women have 2 games to go before finals against QLD Maroon and WA a win against either team gives them a chance to finish top 4 and play finals.
